Please come and be part of the first Swindon200 Workshop on Saturday 25th March at Central Community Centre. This is a free event with lunch and refreshments provided.
Swindon200 is an exciting new project which seeks to promote equality and inclusion in Swindon and bring about positive change in our communities. The project launched at the Swindon Community Conference, held at the National Trust in January this year, which was attended by nearly 100 people representing over 60 community organisations. As part of this event, a new Swindon Equality & Inclusion Charter was developed by attendees and launched on the day.
This workshop will run from 11am – 3pm and will include elements of idea and project development as well as learning and skills development. It will also be an opportunity to network with others who are interested in supporting Swindon to be a model of fairness, inclusion, opportunity and fulfilment – and in taking an active role in shaping Swindon for the better.
As part of the project, we aim to sign up 200 people in Swindon to become Equality Ambassadors, a new role designed to support the aims of the project. The workshop is open to those who have already signed up to be an Equality Ambassador, as well as those who want to come along and find out more without committing at this stage.
